Puffling Puzzle

There are 10 packets of cigarettes, each containing 10 cigarettes each. The weight of the cigarettes in all the packets except one is 10gms. In one packet each cigarette weighs 11gm each. With one weighing, can you find the pack that contains the cigarettes weighing 11gms?  {P U Z Z L E S}

  1. Of course, assuming the packaging weigh the same the one with a net weight of 110gms is the one with the cigarettes that weigh 11gms. It will be the only one that weighs that while the others weigh 100 gms. Isn’t this a no brainer?

  2. for this “no brainer” answer we need to weigh at least two times! Read the question first, punk!

  3. Correction, yes if you were lucky enough to pick the pack with the 11 gram cigarettes in it first

  4. actually yes I could design a scale utilizing the effects of leverage that using a mathematical formula could tell the position and location of the pack with the 11gm cigarettes in it but it would only be useful for discovering the location of that pack and probably wouldn’t be worth the effort cause I don’t care enough to do so.
