I have an inferiority complex, but it’s not a very good one.

Interesting Architecture

1) The Hashtag Tower (Seoul , Korea)
This building takes innovative architecture to a whole other level. This apartment complex has been designed by Danish architects BIG to look like a hashtag. Known as The Cross # Towers, these buildings are made of interlocking horizontal and vertical towers. What makes these buildings even more unique is the fact that they’re connected by three public bridges at different levels-underground, ground level and in the sky. These bridges are landscaped and outfitted to cater to the needs of a variety of cultures and age groups.

3) Ren Building (Shangai)
China has proved once again that they have to be a step ahead of everyone else, even when it comes to architecture. Designed by PLOT (which has now split into BIG and JDS) this building resembles the Chinese character “?”, which is actually a man walking. It combines two buildings, one emerging from the water and the second from the land. The first building is devoted to activities of the body and houses the sports and water culture center. The second building emerging from land, is devoted to the spirit and enlightenment, and houses the conference center and meeting facilities. The meeting point of the two buildings is a 1000 room hotel, a building for living.

4) The Wave (Vejle, Denmark)
This amazing building looks more like a work of art that should be on display. Designed by Henning Larsen Architects, a Danish company, this residential building was declared the residential building of the year in 2010. This spectacular structure houses 140 apartments, each with a magnificent view of the bay. Located in Vejle, a quaint town in Denmark, it is said that the wave form is inspired by the characteristics of the area upon which is was built: the sea, the bridge and the hills.

10) Wooden Skyscraper (Vancouver, Canada)
If Michael Green’s project comes true then we could have ourselves the tallest and greenest wooden skyscraper in the world. It may seem like a bizarre idea, especially since we live in a world surrounded by steel and concrete but as Michael rightly points out, wood is much more eco-friendly and cost-effective than either of them. This wooden tower is scheduled to come up in Vancouver.

Louisiana-born Scott Campbell is known throughout the world as being one of the most talented hands in the world of tattooing. After abandoning a career as a biochemist at the University of Texas, he fled to San Francisco, and began tattooing. He learned the craft at Picture Machine, one of the oldest shops in California, rich with stories and nicotine stained flash on the walls from it’s heyday in the 60′s and 70′s. He now owns and operates the legendary Saved Tattoo in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, whose client list includes New York’s art and design elite, fashion designers such as Marc Jacobs, and a long roster of celebrities including Heath Ledger, Josh Hartnett, Orlando Bloom, Helena Christensen, and Penelope Cruz. In recent years, he has gained much acclaim from fine art communities worldwide for his work in mediums other than skin, including intricately carved sculptures made out of US currency, a series of watercolor paintings based on his experiences during a 6 week stay in a maximum security prison in Mexico City, and graphite drawings done on the insides of eggshells. Campbell has only shown in galleries for a few years, but his work is already seen in some of the most revered collections and museums worldwide. He is celebrated as one of the brightest new voices in the New York art scene.

Colgate’s ingenious advertising campaign

Colgate has created a very ingenious advertising campaign to promote their dental floss, but before I explain to you the main detail of these images, I will let you appreciate them quietly.

Alright, now that you had time to quietly observe the images, in the first one you will now notice that she has one finger too many in her hand, in the second one a phantom arm is floating there, and in the third one the man has only one ear…

The campaign attained its purpose, because it proved that food remains on your teeth draw more attention than any physical defect…

Bloody clever…..
